At RareLuxe, every piece in our collection undergoes rigorous multi-step inspection and digital authentication via Entrupy prior to dispatch. Due to the high value and exclusive nature of authenticated pre-owned luxury goods, our return process is governed by strict security and verification standards.

General Return Policy & Standard Terms

To preserve item provenance and prevent fraud, items are shipped with a non-reusable, tamper-evident RareLuxe Security Tag.

Final Sale Rule: Unless otherwise required by statutory law or in cases of seller error, sales are considered final once the security tag has been removed or tampered with.
Eligible Claims: Returns or claims are evaluated under the following conditions:
1. You received an incorrect item.
2. The item condition significantly deviates from the detailed listing description/photographs.
3. Valid statutory rights under local consumer protection regulations.

EU Right of Withdrawal (For EU Private Consumers)

If you are a consumer residing within the European Union (EU/EEA) purchasing for personal use, you have the legal right to cancel or return your purchase within 14 days of receiving your parcel under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

Conditions for EU Returns:
- Notice of withdrawal must be submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery.
- The item must remain unused, unworn, un-altered, and in the exact condition received.
- The RareLuxe Security Tag must remain intact and attached.
- All original inclusions—including brand boxes, dust bags, authenticity cards, care booklets, and Entrupy certificates—must be returned in full.

Reporting an Issue & Claim Procedure

If you receive an item that is incorrect or significantly different from its description, you must notify us within 72 hours of delivery.

How to Submit a Claim:
Contact our official channels with:

Order Number and full customer name.
High-resolution, clear photographs showing the entire item, close-ups of the discrepancy, and the intact RareLuxe Security Tag.
A concise summary of the issue.

Important: Claims submitted outside the specified window without prior notice may not be accepted for review.

Return Shipping & Inspection Process

Return Authorization: All returns must be pre-approved by RareLuxe before shipping. Unsolicited returns will be rejected.
Packaging & Insurance: Approved returns must be shipped via an express, trackable, and fully insured courier service. Return shipping costs and insurance are the buyer's responsibility unless the return is due to an error on our part.
Authentication Re-verification: Upon arrival, returned items undergo a thorough technical re-inspection and Entrupy re-authentication.
Refusal of Return: If an item shows signs of wear, scent/perfume altercations, damage, missing accessories, or a removed/tampered security tag, the refund will be denied, and the item will be returned to the buyer at their expense.

Refunds & Non-Refundable Fees

Refund Issuance: Once the returned item successfully passes security and authentication inspection, your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
Non-Refundable Charges:
- Express outbound shipping fees.
- Credit card processing fees (e.g., third-party platform gateway fees).
- Customs duties, import taxes, and local VAT incurred during international transit.

Order Cancellations

Pre-Dispatch: Orders may be canceled before the item has been packaged and handed over to the courier. Payment gateway processing fees (e.g., 3.8% for credit cards) are non-refundable.
Post-Dispatch: Once an order is dispatched and in transit with the carrier, it cannot be canceled and must follow the standard return procedure.

Payment Plan Defaults & Cancellations

Payment plans and layaway arrangements are bound by individual written agreements created prior to order placement.

Installment payments reserve the item exclusively for you and remove it from public sale.
In the event of a customer-initiated cancellation or failure to complete the agreed payment schedule, a restocking/holding fee (up to 20% of the item value or the initial deposit, as defined in your agreement) will be retained to cover holding and relisting costs. Any remaining balance will be issued as RareLuxe Store Credit.

At RareLuxe, authenticity is not just a promise—it is the core foundation of our business. We understand that acquiring a pre-owned luxury piece is a significant investment, which is why every single handbag, accessory, and collector's item in our curated inventory undergoes a rigorous, multi-tiered authentication process before it is ever made available for purchase.

Our Multi-Step Verification Process

Expert Physical Inspection
Every item is personally hand-inspected by our seasoned luxury specialists. We evaluate over 30 physical markers specific to each design house, including:

Hardware & Stamps: Weight, engraving depth, typography, zipper mechanisms, and plating quality.
Craftsmanship & Construction: Stitch count, alignment, thread pattern, leather grain, lining, and internal structure.
Identifiers & Provenance: Date codes, microchips, blind stamps, serial numbers, hologram stickers, and original documentation.

AI-Powered Financial-Grade Verification (Entrupy)
To back our expert evaluation with objective technology, RareLuxe partners with Entrupy—the world’s leading AI-powered authentication system for luxury goods.

Entrupy uses microscopic imaging technology to analyze materials, hardware algorithms, and microscopic patterns at 260x magnification.
Every eligible item sold by RareLuxe includes an official, digitally verifiable Entrupy Certificate of Authenticity, which is tied to the unique digital signature of your specific piece.

Tamper-Evident Security System
Every item is dispatched with our custom, tamper-evident RareLuxe Security Tag and is video-documented during the final packing and courier handoff process to guarantee that the authenticated item shipped is the exact piece you receive.

Our Lifetime Authenticity Promise

We stand behind every item we sell with 100% certainty. If an item purchased from RareLuxe is ever proven to be non-authentic by a recognized independent authority or the original brand house, we will issue a 100% full refund, including all original shipping and inspection charges.

Independent Business Disclosure: RareLuxe is an independent reseller of authentic pre-owned luxury goods. We are not affiliated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, or any other brand listed on our platform. All trademarks and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.

Your RareLuxe piece is an investment in timeless craftsmanship. With proper care and mindful storage, pre-owned luxury leather goods retain their beauty, structure, and market value for decades. Here is our recommended guide for preserving your collection.

Everyday Protection & Handling

Avoid Overfilling: Overstuffing your handbag stretches the leather, strains the stitching, and permanently warps the structural silhouette. Carry only your essentials.
Beware of Color Transfer (Dye Bleed): Light-colored leathers (such as Chanel Lambskin in beige or Hermès Epsom in Craie) are susceptible to color transfer from dark denim, dyed fabrics, and new clothing.
Mind Cosmetics & Liquids: Never place unsealed lipsticks, pens, liquid makeup, or hand sanitizers directly inside your bag. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers cause permanent discolouration and leather stripping.
Protect Hardware: Avoid direct contact with rough metal surfaces, keys, and coarse fabrics to prevent deep scratching on gold and palladium hardware.

Leather-Specific Care

Chanel Lambskin / Smooth Calfskin
- Ultra-soft, delicate, smooth finish = Prone to fingernail scratches.
- Gently buff light surface scuffs in small circular motions using clean, dry fingertips.
- Keep away from water.
Grained Leather (Caviar / Epsom / Togo)
- Textured, durable, scratch-resistant = Highly resilient for daily wear.
- Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean surface dust.
Exotic Leathers (Python / Lizard / Crocodile)
- Rare, delicate, scale pattern = Keep strictly away from moisture, high humidity, and direct heat.
- Always wipe with the direction of the scales, never against them.
Suede & Nubuck
- Velvet-like nap, absorbent
- Brush periodically with a specialized suede brush.
- Treat with a professional luxury suede protector prior to use.

Storage & Preservation

Stuff for Shape: Always store your bag stuffed with acid-free tissue paper or custom pillow inserts to maintain its original structure. Never use newspaper, as ink will bleed into the lining.
Dust Bag Only: Store your bag standing upright inside its original breathable cotton dust bag. Never store luxury leather in plastic bags or airtight containers, as leather needs to breathe to prevent dry rot and mold.
Control Climate: Keep bags away from direct sunlight, radiators, and high-humidity environments. Prolonged sun exposure fades dye and dries out natural oils in the leather.
Tuck Chains & Hardware: Position metal shoulder chains inside the bag or wrap them in soft tissue paper during storage to prevent the chain links from pressing indentations into the exterior leather.

Authenticity & Ordering

Q: How do I know the items on RareLuxe are authentic?
Every item in our collection undergoes strict physical inspection by our luxury specialists and is verified through Entrupy Authentication Technology. Eligible items arrive with an official Entrupy Certificate of Authenticity.

Q: Do items come with their original boxes, dust bags, and receipts?
Inclusions vary depending on what was provided by the original owner. Every listing clearly specifies all included items (e.g., original box, dust bag, authenticity card, Entrupy certificate, or brand receipt).

Q: Are the pictures on your platform of the actual item for sale?
Yes. We never use stock photos. Every photograph on our website and social media channels is of the exact, physical item you will receive.

Payment & Pricing

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Bank Transfer (SEPA / SWIFT) with no additional fees, and Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) subject to a 3.8% platform processing fee.

Q: Do you offer Payment Plans or Layaway?
Yes! We offer flexible layaway options upon request. A deposit reserves the item, and the remaining balance is paid over an agreed schedule. Items are dispatched once the final balance has cleared. Contact us prior to purchase to arrange a plan.

Q: Are prices negotiable?
Our prices reflect current global luxury market values, item rarity, condition, and demand. While most prices are fixed, feel free to reach out to our team via WhatsApp for inquiries on select pieces.

Shipping & Delivery

Q: Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?
We ship globally via insured express couriers (DHL Express, FedEx, UPS).

Domestic / EU Shipping: € 28.00
International Shipping: € 45.00

Q: Will I have to pay import duties and taxes?
For orders within the European Union (EU), no extra customs fees apply. For international deliveries outside the EU, import duties, local VAT, and customs taxes are determined by your country's customs authority and are the buyer's responsibility.

Q: How long will it take to receive my order?
Orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation. Delivery typically takes 2–5 business days within Europe and 3–7 business days internationally.

Returns & Security

Q: What is your return policy?
Due to the exclusive nature of pre-owned luxury goods, sales are generally final once our RareLuxe Security Tag has been removed. However, EU private buyers retain statutory 14-day withdrawal rights provided the security tag remains intact and the item is in untouched condition. Please review our full Return & Refund Policy for details.

Q: What is the RareLuxe Security Tag?
It is a tamper-evident, non-reusable tag attached to every item prior to shipping. It allows you to thoroughly inspect your item upon arrival while protecting our business against item swapping. Removing or breaking the tag voids standard return eligibility.
