At RareLuxe, every piece in our collection undergoes rigorous multi-step inspection and digital authentication via Entrupy prior to dispatch. Due to the high value and exclusive nature of authenticated pre-owned luxury goods, our return process is governed by strict security and verification standards.

General Return Policy & Standard Terms

To preserve item provenance and prevent fraud, items are shipped with a non-reusable, tamper-evident RareLuxe Security Tag.

• Final Sale Rule: Unless otherwise required by statutory law or in cases of seller error, sales are considered final once the security tag has been removed or tampered with.

• Eligible Claims: Returns or claims are evaluated under the following conditions:
    1. You received an incorrect item.
    2. The item condition significantly deviates from the detailed listing description/photographs.
    3. Valid statutory rights under local consumer protection regulations.

EU Right of Withdrawal (For EU Private Consumers)

If you are a consumer residing within the European Union (EU/EEA) purchasing for personal use, you have the legal right to cancel or return your purchase within 14 days of receiving your parcel under the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

• Conditions for EU Returns:

  • Notice of withdrawal must be submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery.

  • The item must remain unused, unworn, un-altered, and in the exact condition received.

  • The RareLuxe Security Tag must remain intact and attached.

  • All original inclusions—including brand boxes, dust bags, authenticity cards, care booklets, and Entrupy certificates—must be returned in full.

Reporting an Issue & Claim Procedure

If you receive an item that is incorrect or significantly different from its description, you must notify us within 72 hours of delivery.

How to Submit a Claim:
Contact our official channels with:

• Order Number and full customer name.
• High-resolution, clear photographs showing the entire item, close-ups of the discrepancy, and the intact RareLuxe Security Tag.
• A concise summary of the issue.

Important: Claims submitted outside the specified window without prior notice may not be accepted for review.

Return Shipping & Inspection Process

• Return Authorization: All returns must be pre-approved by RareLuxe before shipping. Unsolicited returns will be rejected.
• Packaging & Insurance: Approved returns must be shipped via an express, trackable, and fully insured courier service. Return shipping costs and insurance are the buyer's responsibility unless the return is due to an error on our part.
• Authentication Re-verification: Upon arrival, returned items undergo a thorough technical re-inspection and Entrupy re-authentication. 
• Refusal of Return: If an item shows signs of wear, scent/perfume altercations, damage, missing accessories, or a removed/tampered security tag, the refund will be denied, and the item will be returned to the buyer at their expense.

Refunds & Non-Refundable Fees

• Refund Issuance: Once the returned item successfully passes security and authentication inspection, your refund will be processed within 5–7 business days to your original payment method.
• Non-Refundable Charges:
  • Express outbound shipping fees.
  • Credit card processing fees (e.g., third-party platform gateway fees).
  • Customs duties, import taxes, and local VAT incurred during international transit.

Order Cancellations

• Pre-Dispatch: Orders may be canceled before the item has been packaged and handed over to the courier. Payment gateway processing fees (e.g., 3.8% for credit cards) are non-refundable.
• Post-Dispatch: Once an order is dispatched and in transit with the carrier, it cannot be canceled and must follow the standard return procedure.

Payment Plan Defaults & Cancellations

Payment plans and layaway arrangements are bound by individual written agreements created prior to order placement.

• Installment payments reserve the item exclusively for you and remove it from public sale.
• In the event of a customer-initiated cancellation or failure to complete the agreed payment schedule, a restocking/holding fee (up to 20% of the item value or the initial deposit, as defined in your agreement) will be retained to cover holding and relisting costs. Any remaining balance will be issued as RareLuxe Store Credit.

Order Processing & Dispatch

Shipping Rates & Fully Insured Delivery

All RareLuxe shipments are sent via express, fully insured courier services (e.g., DHL Express, FedEx, or UPS) and require an adult signature upon delivery.

Security Note: Shipping fees are non-refundable once an order has been dispatched. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or freight forwarding locations.

Delivery Timelines & Tracking

• Tracking: Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a official tracking code via email or WhatsApp.
• Delivery Estimates: Delivery timeframes vary by destination and carrier. Typical transit times range between 2–5 business days for domestic/EU orders and 3–7 business days for international destinations.
• Delays Outside Our Control: RareLuxe is not liable for transit delays caused by customs clearance checks, weather severe conditions, carrier operational disruptions, or public holidays.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes (International Orders)

• Import Fees: For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties, local VAT, customs taxes, and administrative clearance fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
• Customer Responsibility: These charges are determined by your country's customs authority and are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
• Refused Shipments: If a shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid customs duties or incorrect address details provided by the buyer, all return shipping charges, return duties, and administrative fees will be deducted from any eligible refund or credit.

Address Accuracy & Lost Parcels

• Customers must provide an accurate, complete shipping address and phone number at checkout.
• Address Matching: To prevent fraud, credit card orders must be shipped to the verified billing address associated with the payment card.
• RareLuxe is not responsible for packages delayed, misrouted, or lost due to inaccurate address details provided by the buyer.

Authenticity Guarantee & Item Condition

• 100% Authenticity Guarantee: Every item listed by RareLuxe undergoes rigorous inspection and financial-grade digital verification via Entrupy Authentication Technology prior to sale.
• Pre-Owned Condition: Unless explicitly stated as "Store Fresh" or "Unused," items sold by RareLuxe are pre-owned or vintage. 
• Customers acknowledge that pre-owned luxury items may exhibit natural signs of wear, storage, or age. Detailed condition notes, high-resolution photographs, and measurements are provided for each listing. By purchasing, you accept the item in the condition documented.

Orders, Pricing & Payment

• Pricing Currency: All prices are listed in Euros (€) unless otherwise indicated, and are subject to change without prior notice prior to order confirmation.
• Accepted Payment Methods:
  • Bank Transfer (SEPA / SWIFT): No additional transaction fee. Orders are dispatched upon full funds clearance.
  • Credit / Debit Cards: Subject to a 3.8% third-party platform processing fee. Card billing addresses must match the verified delivery address.
• Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to cancel any order or decline service in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or unauthorized account activity.

Shipping, Customs & Import Duties

• Dispatch: Orders are processed and dispatched within 1–3 business days following confirmed payment clearance.

Returns, Refunds & Security Tags

• RareLuxe Security Tag: Items ship with an attached, tamper-evident security tag. Removal or tampering with this tag voids all standard return rights, except where mandatory statutory rights apply.
• Returns & Claims: Returns are evaluated strictly in accordance with applicable consumer laws or cases of major listing discrepancies reported within 72 hours of delivery.

Payment Plans & Layaway Agreements

Payment plan arrangements are granted at our sole discretion and require a binding individual agreement outlining payout schedules and holding fees.

• Failure to complete agreed installment payments within the designated timeframe may result in order cancellation and the retention of a holding/restocking fee (up to 20% of the item value) to cover relisting costs.

Intellectual Property & Digital Content

All original content, imagery, product photography, studio graphics, branding materials, and textual content created by RareLuxe are protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial extraction of our content without express written consent is strictly prohibited.

Fraud Prevention & Anti-Chargeback Policy

• Verification: To safeguard high-value transactions, RareLuxe reserves the right to request identity verification (such as government-issued photo ID) prior to dispatching high-value orders.
• Fraudulent Chargebacks: Unlawful payment chargebacks or false claims will be vigorously investigated, reported to financial anti-fraud authorities, and referred to legal counsel for recovery.

Limitation of Liability & Force Majeure

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RareLuxe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use, transit delays caused by third-party couriers, customs delays, natural disasters, or technical disruptions outside our reasonable control.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any separate purchase agreements shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium / the European Union. Any legal disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Brussels, Belgium.
